Ancient slides from 2012. Painted Thumbnails for 80s style sequel to Killer Klowns From Outer Space.  Quick and fun. Definitely shows connections between storyboarding and comic-sequential art. This is still a project I intend to revisit in eventuality. 

Lighting and Textural compositions for Student Art Project in college. 

Stylization for Props and general world development for a Student Animated project. 

Line Art process of refinement for cel shaded backgrounds. Produced for Flash project depicting Vietnam-style funnies cartoon walk-cycle. 

Oil painting study done for Art History assignment to show that the process of oil painting digitally can be applied similarly to traditional techniques. 

Various illustration studies and full pieces from college era. Lots of experimentation. The ice blasted astronaut is my favorite looking back. 

Backgrounds done for an Animation Thesis Project “Hipposterous” (2014).  Great fun in setting up files for compositing as well. Base layout done by John T. Hill. (links to animated project soon).

Kandinsky style bookmarks done in an Art History class exampling the Musical Artist: Freddy Todd. Links to music to be updated below (soon)

Some quick 1 hour studies done amidst the work year of 2018. Often done to keep the hand acclamated, and play with the digital paints a bit. I much prefer more processed, developed pieces but impressionism has it’s own fun at times.

Old impressionism experiment. Non-referenced. I would like to return and do a study of jade Fu Dog statues in the eventuality. The various ivory and jade materials are great light studies.

This may be abstract bullshit but lately I’ve found a lot of solitude in shapes that just do their thing on their own. I don’t know what this is but the yellow is calming. Like I’m watching a thing walk on a planeless horizon that maybe notices me. Maybe it doesn’t. It’s disinterested but keeps moving forward on its little spindly legs. I think I could be friends with it but I’m okay standing here and watching him walk. Also this piece kind of reminds me of eggs, sunny side up.
