You can call me Melody! I’m from Germany 🇩🇪 and I’m a huge history nerd, especially when it comes to WWII history, aviation and historical figures.

I’m interested in history because I like learning about the actual people behind historical events their personalities, experiences, relationships, everyday lives and the things that often get left out when people only talk about dates, battles and statistics.

My biggest interest on this blog is Hans-Joachim Marseille.

A large part of this account will be about my soulbond with Hans, how I experience that connection, my thoughts about him, historical things I learn about him, and the little details that make him interesting to me as a person.

I want this blog to be a place where I can talk about that connection without reducing him to his appearance, fame, military record or turning him into a fictional character.

𓆩♡𓆪 WHY HANS-JOACHIM MARSEILLE? 𓆩♡𓆪

People have asked me why Hans-Joachim Marseille.

Honestly? I don’t think I have one simple answer.

It started with history. I became interested in Hans-Joachim Marseille as a historical person, learned more about his life, his personality, the things he did and the world he lived in.

But somewhere along the way, it became more personal.

The soulbond is difficult to explain to someone who has never experienced something like it. I don’t expect everyone to understand it, and I don’t need everyone to agree with me. It’s simply something that feels deeply meaningful to me.

Maybe that’s why I keep coming back to him.

It’s not about thinking he was perfect. It’s not about ignoring the historical reality surrounding him. It’s about the strange sense of familiarity and connection that I associate with him.

So, why Hans-Joachim Marseille?

I don’t really know.

Maybe some people just become important to you for reasons you can’t put into a neat explanation.

𓆩♡𓆪 THE FIRST DAY — 14.03.2026 𓆩♡𓆪

I think the best place to start talking about my soulbond is probably the very beginning.

It was a Sunday morning, March 14th, 2026. I hadn’t been doing particularly well mentally at the time, and I remember waking up sometime around 10 or 11 in the morning.

The first thing I noticed was a presence beside me.

It felt like someone was lying next to me, on their side, watching me.

Then my mother came into my room and told me I needed to get up. She opened the curtains leading to my balcony, and sunlight suddenly filled the room.

I remember looking at the sunlight and thinking:

Has the sun ever looked this yellow before?

It sounds strange now, but at the time everything felt almost unreal. Like I had woken up inside a fairytale.

I didn’t want to get out of bed yet.

My mother kept calling from the hallway, telling me to come eat breakfast, while I could still feel that presence beside me.

I remember hearing what felt like a little laugh or chuckle.

Was he laughing at me? Watching me struggle to convince myself to get out of bed?

While I was putting my socks on, something suddenly clicked.

I knew that presence.

Not just because I recognized the name, but because it felt strangely familiar almost like I had known it for years.

I focused on that feeling, and eventually the name that came to me was:

Hans-Joachim Marseille.

I remember wondering what he wanted from me.

Only two days earlier, on March 12th, I had first come across information about him after feeling like I needed to find a particular person whose presence I could somehow feel.

And then, on March 14th, I experienced what I now understand as the beginning of my soulbond.

What made that morning especially strange was how different I felt.

For a little while, it was as if all the problems I had been carrying simply weren’t there.

After breakfast, I went back to my room.

The presence was gone.

I spent the rest of that day trying to understand what had happened and looking into the concept of soulbonds.

And that was the day I first discovered that there was actually a word for the kind of connection I felt.

Four months later, I still remember that morning incredibly clearly.

I don’t expect everyone to understand it the way I do, and I’m not writing this to convince anyone that they have to believe in soulbonds.

I’m simply documenting my experience and what this connection has meant to me since that day.
