Louis, mayor of the town, hundreds of years old vampire, meets a man. This man is sick and alone. This man has absolutely nobody in his life and is desperately lonely. He befriends this man and this man becomes deeply emotionally dependent on him because HE HAS NOTHING AND THE MAYOR OF THE TOWN LIKES HIM... Then Louis asks this man to join him in eternal life. Owen agrees and fully trusts Louis in making this horrifically scary life changing decision but he's not scared because he loves and trusts Louis.
Owen was a fledgling when he slaughtered the entire town. Louis had to drink Owen's blood enough to turn him so he was absolutely at least tier 2 when the humans came looking for him. If Owen could kill all of them, Louis definitely would have been able to fight back. He chose not to fight back and accept his fate (not wanting to hurt the town) but he also knowingly left Owen alone. Owen, who had nothing else, who just gave Louis his ENTIRE LIFE because he trusted him. Louis left Owen alone with that, knowingly and willingly.
Louis is kind to a fault to the point it negatively effects the people around him and selfless to the point of hurting the people around him in an attempt to be a perfect pure martyr but Louis asked Owen to give him his life and then immediately willingly let the humans murder him after taking Owen's life. He then stood and watched Owen get dragged to hell for the things he did
Do you think Louis felt guilty when he saw Owen get dragged down? Because he had a part to play in this happening in the first place
