Things I’ve done:

-Added a levelling system, with 5 attributes:

Health and Stamina, which are kinda obvious

Power, increases your attack and ability damage

Ferocity, increases your attack speed

Focus, decreases your ability cooldown

-Added trails for fireballs and arrows

-Added a sort of walking animation for all the characters and enemies

-Gave the bullets particle trails and particle effects when hitting stuff

-Revamped shield enemies. They now have a shield bar that drains when they’re hit. Hitting them while they’re attacking or from other directions than the front ignores their shield.

I ran into some major performance issues with my game when I tried implementing pathfinding. So in an attempt to make it better, I decided to migrate over to SDL2 and OpenGL 4.5 instead of the old SDL and OpenGL Turns out that only made it worse, and after two months of noprogress I gave up. Using a self-made "engine" written in spaghetti code that I started 5 years ago, before I even knew anything about programming, apparently turned out to be a bad idea, who could've imagined that? I decided to not give up completely though, so back in April I started learning to use Unity. So now I've started remaking Marmoreal in that instead, and I think I've made enough progress for a demo now. Here it is if you wanna try it:
