The thought of being run over by a dozen McKinnon children was a terrifying one. Remus didnât mind kids, but kids tended to love him. He figured the reason was because he didnât treat kids any different than he would treat his peers and talked to them as though they were equals. Children love being treated as friends rather than kids, and they tended to gravitate towards that. âI wouldnât mind, any time Iâm around kids theyâre usually all over me. And my best friends are pretty much kids in bigger bodies, so I think I could handle it.â Remus couldnât help but to get a jab in at his friends whenever he could, though he did have to admit they had done a lot more maturing recently. âWell if you canât attend weâll just cancel the whole thing and reschedule for when youâre available. No point in partying of Marlene McKinnon isnât there, everybody knows that.â
âOkay, but if the kids start to like you more than me Iâm kicking you out. Right now Iâm their queen, it needs to stay that way,â she grinned. Marlene was the only sibling without any children, and she sure didnât plan to start having them anytime soon. She loved being able to be âFun Aunt Marleneâ and shake things up when she was around. She turned her attention back towards the prospect of a party, still pretending she was hurt by her lack of invitation on New Yearâs. She sighed dramatically, tossing her hair over one shoulder, âSounds about right. So when is this party?âÂ
