~Marcus~

Marcus groaned loudly and leaned his head back, slamming the half chewed up pencil on the desk and growling. He simply just couldn’t even bare to do his homework, and yet, he hadn’t even tried. The clock was ticking and the night was coming to an end. His eyes were half closed and he couldn’t think straight.

Mr Crazy, on the other hand, was just chilling on the bed in the middle of the room Marcus and himself shared. He didn’t mind the constant loud cuss words Marcus would yell, and the amount of times he’d nearly fallen asleep was unimaginable! Mr Crazy had tried to keep him up with a hot coffee, but Marcus wouldn’t dare take any more caffeine. “What have I said to you, boy? The young mind can’t process without sleep. You need rest.”

Marcus rolled his eyes and slammed his pen down again, this time, breaking off small splinters of wood. He laid his head down on the desk, his forehead resting on his arms.

“I’ve already told you, for fucks sake! I don’t need sleep! Sleep’s for the weak!” He mumbled through the gaps between his arms. Mr Crazy grumbled and stood up, resting the book down on the bedside table.

“Just listen to me. You’re getting tired, it’s obvious to tell by the dark rings under your eyes and your voice is fading away.” He patted the teenager on the back reassuringly. Marcus sighed silently and closed his eyes.

“I… I don’t need sleep… I’m not tired… I never am… you can’t m-make me!” Mr Crazy had already grabbed Marcus with his huge hands, his long, pointy fingers traveling along his flesh. Marcus let out a whine as he stood up, not even close to the older man’s height.

"See? Pathetic. There’s no chance of you beating my height and strength now, is there? So,” he added with a slight grin, “I’m taking you to bed, and you WILL rest. Or I’m banning cookies for another week, Mr.”

Marcus almost ran to the bed, throwing off his shirt and shorts, leaving on his purple boxers and black socks on. He slithered into the dark purple bed covers and slipped them over himself. Mr Crazy grinned and stood over the bed, crossing his arms.

"Next time you ask, I’m not getting into bed this easily.” Marcus glared, his lips into a soft pout. Mr Crazy peered down at the smaller boy and hissed.

“Yes, you will. You’ll listen to whatever I say,” Marcus huffed and pulled the covers over his head, turning to face the wall. He didn’t want to rest his eyes. Neither sleep. He wanted to stay up and watch TV, nibble on chocolate, and dance around the house naked.

“Look…” Mr Crazy started, his eyes glowing a gentle red to let some light in the room. He bent down and softly placed a hand on Marcus’ shoulder. “I know you’ve had a bad couple days, and you’re not in a bouncy baby boy mood. But you’ve tried, and I respect that. But you need to stop acting like a 5-year-old and act your age.”

“B-but… why? I can’t sleep… I don’t wanna…” Marcus whimpered quietly.

Mr Crazy sighed and stood up, taking off his hat and resting it on the side of the bed. He slowly slipped off his shirt and did the same. He left on his skinny jeans and gently climbed into bed with Marcus. The teenager quickly jolted and hit the wall, staying close to it.

“H-hey! What the fuck, dude?!” He hissed.

Mr Crazy grabbed the boy’s hips and pulled him close, breathing down his neck. He stayed still for a moment, seeing what Marcus would do. To the expected, he also stayed still, slowly turning his body round.

Marcus pulled his own arms up to his chest and nuzzled his head into Mr Crazy’s chest. His knees were tucked into his stomach. He was warm against the demon. Mr Crazy, however, was fully layed out, arms around Marcus.

“Why a-are you doing this…?”

“I wanted to keep you company as you rest,” Mr Crazy whispered in his ear. “I know you hate sleeping in dark rooms, and being left alone, so I decided it’d be better if I’d rest with you… is that okay?”

Marcus thought for a moment before nodding. “I… I guess… yeah. But don’t try anything funny.”

Mr Crazy chuckled and nuzzled the boy’s neck. “Oh, don’t worry. I won’t. Not unless you wanted me to~”

Marcus giggled and closed his eyes slowly. “Nah… not tonight.”

Mr Crazy smiled and closed his eyes too, the red light fading away. The room was left in pitch black as the two cuddled throughout the night. It was peaceful as could be, and the moon’s light only shone a tiny bit through the patterned curtains.
