it was a familiar dance, henry tipped his chin back, lips twitched into a small grin beneath the inquisitors gaze and bore no shame. “ would you be jealous if there was ? ” somehow he made the challenge sound almost innocent, grin threatening to curl into a wider smile as he followed her accusatory gesture to where the offending garment had fallen. he tilted his head slightly, both hands laced behind his back in mock consideration, his companion had already departed for the evening, but vicki didn’t need to know that yet.
“ you could always join us instead … ” henry suggested sweetly as he turned back to meet her gaze, “ i’m sure the dead body isn’t going anywhere for the next hour or two. ”
down girl, she spoke to herself in her head. now was not the time to let her libido get in the way of the situation. vicki scoffed though it sounded fake. no doubt henry would catch it. ‘ why would i be jealous ? ’ dating a vampire. now that would be complicated. just working with henry held it’s share of complexities & sexual tension ; then add in the fact she was utterly & completely human.
