“Is that a fucking dragon?” Kaine asked, sounding a bit too surprised at the existence of the beings. He met a vampire hungry for spider blood, a talking cat and dog, and an actual Atlantean, yet meeting a dragon for the first time takes the cake on ‘things you never thought existed but actually do’. He backed away slowly, making sure he kept a safe distance. “Does it know any tricks? Sit? Roll over? Beg?” He asked jokingly; another aspect of Parker he wish he could genetically remove from his system. 

there was a lot to be said about stephen strange - but him being akin to harry potter was not one of those things. he absolutely dreaded having to deal with anything about the ridiculous children’s books - so when he woke up and found he’d been ‘gifted’ a wand and that none of his magic worked unless he evoked a stupid spell…. he was less than pleased.

“suddenly… i have lost all ability to cast or conjure magic. it’s a shame really, i suppose i’ll have to default back to my medical knowledge.“ he boasted towards anyone who would listen. it certainly was interesting seeing everyone change in some form… plus the reddish sky. if he hadn’t considered the infinity stones before, he definitely considered them now.

Kaine sat back and listened to the wizard rant about losing his magic. It sounded like everyone had a problem with their abilities. Similar to the wizard, his superhuman abilities were gone. No natural web production, no night vision, and if there were any spiders around, he couldn’t communicate with them anymore. He added that onto his ever-growing list of reasons why this shit hole sucked worse than death. He merely hoped his totem hadn’t gone with his abilities.

He spoke up from where he was seated, hands held behind the back of his head. “Have you tried using that wand or stick or whatever for your magic? Not to be confused with the one that might be shoved up your ass.” 

Peter! Hearing someone utter those words and direct them at him, Kaine learned to walk faster in the other direction. This world seemed like a big enough place. What were the odds that an acquaintance of Parker would run into his evil clone? Not fucking slim enough apparently. He huffed when the person laid a hand on their shoulder, immediately shoving it away and glaring at MJ. “What the fuck do you want?” 

Kaine was still confused as to why his powers were acting up. Stingers worked a little too well now, ejecting a poison into whatever he stabbed with them. The rest of his powers, like his spider-senses, appeared to be gone. He hated web swinging anyways so it somewhat worked out. He glanced up and he blinked away the particles he thought were flying into his eyes, causing him to see a mixture of Harry Osborn and Gollum. “This has got to be a fucking dream.”
