been away for 2 n a half months now, hasn’t always been easy but it’s been the best thing I’ve ever done... done something like 15 countries in that time lol. I’m in london now, luc and iz have gone and I’ve downed a bottle of red in my hotel room. I’m in a hotel room because the place I’m working for don’t have my room ready yet so they’ve hooked me up. I’m in a bit of a shithole but it’s fine, I think there might be a high polish population because there’s heaps of polish supermarkets - ecstatic about that 4 the pierogi! been by myself for maybe 10 hours now and have managed to not yet think about the fact that I’ve just permanently moved to the other side of the world by myself where I know no one... I haven’t cried about it yet - a real nice treat for a cancer! I’m very very concerned about how I’m gonna make good friends here because everyone I’ve met so far is a normie lmao but i’ve also somehow managed to land a date for tomorrow night with a c00l dude so I’ve decided to take the hoe to get bros approach. I have the day off tomorrow, might go see a movie at ICA or go to a gallery or two in the city. aside from the whole being completely alone aspect, I’ve never felt a greater sense of identity as I have here. I’ve realised now that my decision to move here never had anything to do with brisbane or australia or my life there and absolutely everything to do with who I was and who I am. I felt a feeling the other day in the park as I looked across the golden trees to the mass of green space behind it that was so overwhelming and emotional and real. I felt connected and that piece of the puzzle has been missing my entire life. I feel very much at home and it’s liberating.
