I am always surprised by how many major headlines I’m the first to clip on newspapers (dot) com, for the St. Louis area papers. Obviously Brown v. Board is the major headline, but more interesting and relevant to my recent work for the museum is the headline in the middle--”Integration Also Being Planned for Harris and Stowe Colleges”--the two segregated teachers’ colleges in St. Louis. 

Got a few new postcards this past week, this is one of my favorites.

The simple reason why St. Louis deserved to lose out on the chance to land an Amazon headquarters is: The plan design once again painted the Mississippi River blue.
