In 1991, a game about a blue hedgehog named Sonic took the world by storm. The combination of high-quality platforming and speed-focused sections became a sensation as everyone dreamed about zigzagging across Green Hill Zone at the speed of sound, challenging the devious plans of Dr. Eggman. Starting from the Game Gear and Mega Drive, Sonic as a franchise gradually branched out to new consoles and broadened its horizons: transitioned from 2D to 3D, adopted new game mechanics and characters, expanded with fleshed out stories.
Nowadays Sonic isn’t just a game series, but an entire Universe supplemented by comics, animated shows, and even live action movies. Sonic's character became a symbol of speed and freedom – someone whose purpose is to bring people together.
⭐ In 2026, the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise turned 35! To commemorate this event, our team launched Sonic the Hedgehog ZINE: The 35-year Journey. Made by fans for fans, this artbook covers all of the major milestones from the adventures of the blue hedgehog and his friends, from the classic era to this day.

Our zine is a fanmade limited physical edition. It is a non-profit-making publication – all profits made during the pre-order period will cover the production costs to break even. Delivery of the finished product is scheduled to start in autumn 2026.
