I honestly don’t know, I’m not a huge fan of Heroes and I don’t think it has a particularly great story either. Everything about that game’s story and writing is just slightly off for me, like every character is just a little too energetic. I dunno, that’s just a weird me thing.

But I guess the biggest issue is probably how it handles metal sonic, I feel like they don’t really give him a lot to work with. Heroes never really slows down so there’s never any time dedicated to fleshing out Metal Sonic’s plan or personality. He’s just a very generic villain for me.

It’s weird because the story is simple but it also feels a little messy. Like the theme of friendship and teamwork is obviously present in the gameplay but it doesn’t really play a factor in the story. There’s stuff like Metal copying everyone’s data but being defeated when everyone works together, but that’s about as far as it goes, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it’s not like there’s no theme there, it’s just a very basic one.

I mean that’s obviously annoying, but as long as they’re not the ones trying to discuss the series, then I’m not really bothered.

I’d say it’s very inconsistent. I can kind of see what they’re going for, but the voice direction switches on a dime so it’s hard to really connect the voice to the character for me. That could just be my bias shining through, but either way it just doesn’t feel like Cream to me.

A little, but I’d probably chalk that up to a lack of screen time more than anything else. The fact they did nothing with them in Shadow Generations is insane though, there’s so much potential in Team Dark interacting with Gerald and Maria.

On the other side is a FURIOUS Shadow without inhibitor rings who has just witnessed someone hurting Maria.

If these two were to fight each other, who would win?

They’re both pretty intense, but Amy’s got the toon force on her side. If the funniest outcome is Amy beating Shadow, then by the law of cartoons she’s gonna beat Shadow.
