Being late terrified Delilah, she wasnât sure it had ever actually happened, her family often made the quip that she was even early to her birth, which was true, but that had been rather unplanned. She rolled her eyes, âhonestly, you talk like you donât look like youâve just walked out of a magazine,â she stated plainly, Lilah didnât mince her words when it came to compliments, and she also didnât lie. A laugh escaped her lips, âif only I had the time,â she admitted, âyoga and thousands of steps walking around the ER, thatâs about it for me.â She glanced over to the bar that she was propped against, âIâm drinking a martini, what do you want?â she asked, it wasnât that it was her favourite drink but it was low in sugar, so it was a pretty safe option.Â
Marie raised her eyebrow at Delilah, âHoney, did you mixed up the medicine at the hospital and took something? I think youâre hallucinating.â She scoffed, âThank you though.â She gave up and accepted the compliment, figuring no point in arguing. âWell, you look great, I swear, if you werenât so young...â She joked, shaking her head. âIâll copy you, a martini sounds great.â She approved, turning to the bartender and making their order. âSo, whatâs up with you? Anything interesting going on lately?â
