You wouldβve laughed, some lady got me a drink at the bar the other night. I slid it back.

New York is absolutely chaotic, everyone is late for something! Iβm all hurried to see the sights we talked about, so I fit in nicely. Buildings are so tall, angular and sharp. Not my favorite so far. Thereβs actually yellow taxis, from the TV!
A few times I thought I caught your face in the sea of people.
The city radiates pure magic just as you said it would. I visited that corner cafΓ© you had told me about, pricey, but warm nonetheless. Knowing you loved love it makes the experience all the more special. The tower glows at night, it reminds me of your paintings.
Everything would shine brighter if you were here, my love.
I left those sweaters you love so much on the bed, donβt let it get too cold without me in it. I'm saving every picture and story to share with you when I get back.

This is the last Iβll write to you. After years I finally gathered the strength to return, and it killed me. For the better, I hope. The rain and weather perfectly depict my state. Every little detail reminds me of our years.
Teddy is getting married next week.
Thank you for every laugh, every word and every moment. Life shone brighter with the slice of you in it. You always will be the strongest thread woven into my soul, the silver eyes I remember when someone comes too close, and the one voice I keep hearing at night; but it is time I let you go. I hope, from somewhere above, youβre watching me with a smile on your face as I do the things we promised to, as it is the only thing keeping me sane.
