I love the Ladybug. The story is that a small town in Europe was losing all of its crops to a plague of insects. The village prayed to the Virgin Mary to help save their crops. Soon swarms of ladybugs appeared, took care of the insects and saved the crops. The people were so happy that they started calling them the beetle of the lady, which then changed it to Ladybug. The black spots against the red shell represent the her joys and sorrows.
