“Nobody’s forcing you to reclaim queer!”
But this person is admitting that if I were to write a paper in their class, my “marks would suffer” if I didn’t call same sex attraction weird.
I was just talking with a friend who hates cooking which is so wild to me bc I love cooking so much it is hard for me to understand people that don't like it, but i know many exist. my parents don't like cooking either, but my grandmothers both do, so i feel like it jumped a generation for us. and then i also wonder how much of it is learned and how much not. so! poll time
do you like cooking and were you taught to cook by your family?
i like cooking & i was taught
i feel neutral & i was taught
i don't like it & i was taught
i like it & i was not taught
i feel neutral & i was not taught
i dislike it & i was not taught

Inspired by my walking past a home built in 1754 in my new neighborhood, which isn't even the oldest building in the city. As someone born and raised in the Western US (where we do have some very old buildings, contrary to popular belief, just not in the middle of most cities), it made me curious!
When was the oldest extant building you can reasonably walk to from your home built?
20th century
19th century
18th century
17th century
16th century
15th century
14th century
13th century
12th century
11th century
10th century or before
(Use your judgement for definitions of "extant," it doesn't have to be used for its original purpose but my intention is a building that could theoretically still be used, not just the remnants of one.)
People know they don’t have to perform truly insane reaches to make Big Jane out to be a misunderstood secretly good guy to justify finding him compelling, right? You can just…like the sexy evil man. Because he is a sexy evil man. You can acknowledge that and still enjoy watching him.
He’s fictional, babe. He’s not real. Just enjoy him. You’re allowed.
everyone also drop your favorite hannigram moments
not a leclerc fan or a tifosi but i just want to add that there is a track record of italians cheering for a foreigner in a ferrari instead of their fellow countryman if he is driving for another team. in fact they will cheer for anyone who allows ferrari to win even when it means he crashes
WHAT ARE YALL READING RN you must tell me

I MISS HIM so let's watch a random video on my youtube tl
Jannik Sinner doesn't celebrate. He doesn't flinch. He doesn't let you see a single thing — and that's exactly what breaks his opponents.Thi
(Yoinked this from LinkedIn, genuinely interested in seeing how responses align with demographics) (so far it’s those of us over 35 being indignant but I wanna see how those fully plays out) (it’s cultural and technological history/memory, bruh)

Also people being obsessed with Greek mythology as kids wasn’t invented by Percy Jackson. My dad read the Iliad and the odyssey in high school because one of his friends was super obsessed with Ancient Greek lit and he was like “well I can’t let him be smarter and more well read than I am I’ve gotta catch up”
