→What is the Fool in Tarot?
⁕The Fool is the first card in the traditional tarot deck, and it's also the first Major Arcana. It is the First whisper of the Tarot journey. As you can see in the picture, the person (also referred to as a fool) is just minding his business and embarking on his journey. This card is a gentle reminder from your soul that YES, YOU ARE READY for a new journey. The Fool is not carrying anything and has just this faith that everything will work out for him. It's the card of taking the leap of faith that everyone talks about. But The Fool also asks: stay awake. Keep your eyes soft but open, so you don’t miss the signs along the way.
⁕This card also tells you that when you see this card in a reading or even when you get it while shuffling for yourself, its like a little nudge from the Universe or your spirit guides that loose your grip on the situation, let go of the urge to control the situation, follow your soul's joy and let the Universe surprise you.
→Tarot Meanings for The Fool :
⁕ Fresh Beginnings and New Journey: This card carries the energy of someone who is stepping into the unknown, like in a whole different world where they don't know what they will be facing or undergoing. This is just the "embarking on an unknown road" card.
⁕ Taking Leap of Faith: One of the things this card is highly talked about is taking the leap of faith. For me, this means that I am just gonna do it even though I don't know how it will end up. I could either regret it or enjoy it; there is no in between.
⁕ Childlike Curiosity and Energy: This card holds the innocence of a child who is very curious and eager to discover everything that's in their sight. Its the excitement that one feels when you are going to start something new after a period of debating.
⁕ Freedom and Spontaneity: This card comes with the feeling of also being free and spontaneous, but there is also a warning here. If you look at the picture, you can see the cliff. So this card also comes with a warning. But it's also a reminder that yes you can loosen up bro, laugh and not take life seriously all the time.
⁕ The Journey is not a destination: Whenever this card shows up in front of you, especially when you are asking about your path ahead, just remember that this card is more about your journey and not the desired destination. It's less about where you will end up and more about the adventures and situations you will experience on the way over there.
→The Fool: My Personal Observations.
⁕Whenever this card has shown up in my life during moments when I stood at the difficult road, I knew that I was standing at the edge of something new. I just got the courage to go ahead.
⁕Whenever I see the card, I feel like the Universe is smiling at me and my guides are giving me a thumbs up. It's like saying "Go on Girl, you are ready".
⁕ The Fool has reminded me that stepping into the unknown doesn't always mean like I am doing something blunder by taking that leap of faith. It means that I am courageous enough to be awake and open to the new things even if nobody has done it before me.
⁕ To me, this card is like the quote "The Road not Taken" or "travelling the road not taken" (something like that).
⁕ This card also reminds me to watch out for the potential signs and warnings because, as I said above about the cliff, you also have to keep your eye on the road to avoid any possible accidents.
⁕ Lastly, The Fool has taught me to not take anything from the past into the future. No emotional baggage, no Karmic lessons, no half-done shadow part, nothing. Just me and my lighthearted self ready to step into the unknown and saying "Come on, bring it on" even if I am scared lol.
→Symbols in The Tarot Card:
⁕Sun: (Not the card lol). The sun feels like a pure optimism that is coming straight from the source. Its like you know how we say that the sun is shining upon us. Its like that. Its the light of joy and new beginnings. The way I see it is like that whenever life feels uncertain, there is still a sense of support and clarity that is shining over me.
⁕The Dog: To me, the little Dog is a companion. It could be anyone who is loyal to you or someone who is beside you no matter what. It could your spirit guides or a friend or an ancestor like literally anyone. The someone who walks with you even in the unknown.
⁕The Rose (or the Flower): White is the symbol of purity and innocence. It's like a symbol of going into the unknown, this childlike innocence and heart wide open to life.
⁕The Small Bag (In the hand of the fool): It literally could mean anything you want to take on your journey. Like your personal items or inner wisdom, or the lessons you have learnt in your life, which are inside you. Some also say the bag holds the tools or knowledge from past lives or experiences.
