Does my writing sound bad because I’ve been nitpicking the same paragraph for ages and I’m way more critical of what I write than of what I read and I’m too busy analysing it
Or is it just bad?
One thing I absolutely loathe is when a character is funny and often acts dumb for the bit but then people start acting like they’re genuinely dumb even though it is literally canon that they’re incredibly smart.
(Yes, this is targeted at Leo Valdez, Jesper Fahey and Lance McClain)
At uni typing furiously on my laptop. Everyone here probably thinks I’m locked in writing an essay or something. Little do they know…
I’m writing Klance fanfiction
Piper Mclean unlearning internalised misogyny does not mean she has to be stereotypically feminine and lose all her opinions/interests

Friendly reminder that all the crows are morally grey, not just Kaz
Guys I’m actually such a child. I’m almost finished with The Burning God and tell me why this stupid fucking meme just ambushed me😭😭
A lot of the people who hate Rin for being a “bad person” or whatever would probably love her if she was a white girl and they’d just brush off everything with “I support women’s rights and women’s wrongs” or “female rage” or whatever.
One thing that lowkey annoys me is when people see a morally grey character and assumes they just don’t have morals/goals/views at all.
Like, just because they’re morally grey, doesn’t mean that they’re just boundless entities of chaos.
Usually these characters have moral codes that are unconventional or that they may violate (like they believe something is morally wrong but they do it anyway, usually for a reason that makes sense given the circumstances). And tbh i think that’s way more interesting than just “quirky no morals chaotic baby✨😛”
Some people will complain about women proposing to their boyfriends and call it a humiliation ritual then proceed to read booktok smut where women are constantly degradedby their supposed love interest

Any other Australians shocked by the realisation that tylenol and paracetamol are the same? Like, in fanfiction they always take tylenol after getting stabbed or shot or whatever so I just assumed it was super strong but apparently its the same as the stuff my mum’s been bulk buying at chemist warehouse for years??
Rip Jesper Fahey. You would have loved reciting italian brainrot during jobs to annoy Kaz
“I’m just a girl” as a female version of boys will be boys/boys getting to be childish and immature: Fun. Silly. Allows women and girls to be humans who are sometimes immature, weird and goofy in the same way as their male counterparts. Rejects the idea of girls having to be more mature or sophisticated at a young age.
“I’m just a girl” as a sarcastic way to describe gender roles: Funny. Exposes the ridiculousness of such stereotypes and expectations in a humorous way.
“I’m just a girl” as a way for women to infantalise themselves or promote gender roles under the guise of quirky humour: Cringe. Enforces stereotypes. Generally not funny
People comparing Hamilton to the barak-a-laka obama musical has the same vibes as people comparing the hunger games to divergent
You know your lonely when you start fantasising about platonic meet cutes

Thinking abt the way that grief and a speration from societal norms has opposite effects on Shauna and Travis.
In season 1 Shauna appears soft and conforming. She generally goes along with what Jackie says, willingly living in her shadow and pushing down all her resentment and frustration. She can’t completely hide her bitterness and her anger but she tries to keep it from spilling to the surface by playing the part of the soft, supportive friend. Inversely, Travis adopts the mask of Shauna’s true personality to hide his kindness and vulnerability so that he can behave like a typical 90s teenage boy (presumably to fit in with other boys his age). Hes a little misogynistic, slightly mean to his little brother, hates being vulnerable and always trying to act more tough/confident than he really - usually by putting down the ppl around him. Eg, telling Nat she should fold laundry when she can’t balance the gun.
Essentially, Shauna hides her agression and meanness behind a facade of compliance while Travus covers up his softness with annoyance and rudeness.
But then in season 3 they’ve lost their masks. Shauna is mean and rude and openly agressive (more so than Travis ever was) while Travis is soft and compliant. He’s learnt that thats the only way to survive and his grief makes him tired and despondent.
Basically, pre crash they were both hiding their real personalities under the shell of what everyone else expected of them but in the wilderness their grief (and lack of outside influences) pushes them to reveal their true selves but who they really are is also currupted and accentuated to an unhealthy extreme because of everything they’ve gone through.
In conclusion, Travis Martinez deserves so so so much better :(
This season has been so bad I honestly would have preferred the Walter is Melissa theory to be true
