cool story time

so today i decided to edit some pictures i took of Chevs and the craziest thing happened.

As i was editing, one picture stood out from the catalogue and

i couldn't help but notice that the picture in question actually looks like a painting i saw in an art history book once

so i looked it up

"Girl with a pearl earring"

and there it was

so thanks to the happy coincidence

i decided to make this post

As time goes by,

as emotions ebb and flow,

as people drift in and out,

I realize:

I'm not the same person I was in 2017.

No longer the wide-eyed, daydreaming 17-year-old

whose only mission was to be seen

for his creativity, his artistic pursuits.

Opportunities have sped past me,

some like flashes of light, others unnoticed shadows.

A few became stories I tell,

and some, well,

floppy discs buried in the archives of my mind.

But all of it,

every moment,

has prepared me

for now.

I find inspiration

in the simplest things.

I ask, I observe—

each experience etches itself

into the fabric of me.

And now, as I embark,

I look back at you,

17-year-old me.

I still admire your courage

to see beyond the mountain range,

to think past the curriculum,

to push against the boundaries of

what’s possible,

what’s safe.

But I still wonder,

even now:

Where do dreams come from?
