Reunion | Furion & Aurum
Just a drabble for @marcuscorleonis because I needed to write it after the last thing, which left me in tears and not okay.
Aurum didnât always know who he was, not right away. This time, though, this life, it all came back to him in one single, beautiful moment. The sun was just starting to set, filling the afternoon with the purest gold of all, and he was walking through a city park, admiring the vibrant life all around. Something made him turn and look, and when he did, he saw a man standing under one of the maple trees, watching him with the saddest look in his eyes. In that moment, Aurum felt memories rush through him, and he knew what he had been missing until now -
He knew love.Â
He didnât remember running to the other man. He didnât remember knocking him down with hug. Those things didnât matter. What mattered was that he was kissing Furion. Furion. Marcus. His lover. His beloved. He had his arms around him and he was kissing him, and the weight of nearly a century apart fell away, replaced by the fervent need to simply adore him, to show him that time couldnât affect the strength of love, the need for love, or the beauty of love.
âI missed you,â Aurum finally said, a little breathless. When he felt Furionâs arms tighten around him, he laughed and pressed his cheek to his loverâs, closed his eyes, and squeezed him back. âI love you.â
DO ME (and the thing) for Aurum! :D
@marcuscorleonis || the meme || accepting but always slow
âI thought you promised not to die on me again,â Furion said, half-pleading, as he let the tears fall from his face to Aurumâs cheeks. âDonât. Donât. I canât do this again. Aurum. I canât lose you again.â
âYou.. never lose me,â Aurum managed to whisper, smiling. Even as he lay dying, his smile was still warm as sunlight, still as pure, as royal. His hands were bloody, but he still reached one up and rested his palm against his loverâs cheek. âWeâll meet again. The sun sets on even the most wonderful days. You know summer never lasts forever.â
âDonât. Please donât. I need you. I. Need you. Aurum⌠Aurum? Aurum!âÂ

Look whoâs decided to wake up from his nap. Iâm going through my things and drafts and itâs a little difficult to catch up on stuff after 3 months of hiatus. Iâll work on it.
"I think I just had a vision of us kissing."
âOh, you did? Okay.... what does that mean for us? Do we wait for it to happen? Do we kiss now so that your vision comes true? Do you want it to come true?â
[text] I know you do. [text] But you understand, right? [text] I know it's hard for you but you get how hard it is for me too, right? [text] Could you stay in this house waiting for me for months?
[text] No, I couldnât.[text] I will be home soon.
[text] I know you're sorry. You've said you're sorry. It's all you've said. No other details. [text] Oh, apart from 'I need to do this' [text] I don't like this house when you're not in it. And I can't stay here anymore. So I need to go til you come back, okay? [text] It's not home without you.
[text] Because I AM. I AM sorry.[text] I canât tell you, Auda. Theyâve made sure I canât. Itâs not that I donât want to, I CANâT.[text] I miss you too. And I want to be back with you.

[text] Other side of the world. [text] So really out of town. [text] Not intentionally but I wouldn't be too bothered if it annoyed you. [text] I want to not be waiting here anymore.
[text] How many times do I have to say Iâm sorry?[text] Fine, do whatever you have to do.
[text] I'm going out of town in case you get back and I'm not home. x
[text] How âout of townâ are we talking about?[text] Are you trying to get back at me?
Furion during the riot
Heâll be keeping to the friends heâs made, especially to @kolblooded, @your-loving-spy (Elijah) and @bekahxsweetheart (heâs not sure if he can call Klaus a friend ;) ) and rely on their protection. Heâs not a fighter, but heâs quick, heâs a thief and he has his eyes and ears everywhere, he will be very useful for stealing things and getting information. He will be spending a majority of the riot time in his lion!form since, after having gone without shifting in so long, it will be very difficult for him to stick to his humanity.
At some point of the riot Iâm planning to have him die from something so he can trigger the immortality-gene heâs inherited from his family (which is extremely rare, even in his bloodline) and eventually come back from the dead because FEELZ and DRAMA!! :D
So, basically, Iâm looking for a thread to kill him, one or two things with a playful kitty and Furion playing spy and stealing things. Anyone interested? :D
Scott tried not to think about what life would have been like had he never been bitten.  He decided long ago that if it hadnât been him, it would have been his best friend, and that was never an option for Scott.  He would have died trying to save him from that nightmare.  âWhen an alpha bites you, you become his beta, youâre supposed to join his pack but itâs not really something that can be enforced.  I didnât want to, eventually another beta killed the alpha, and then he became the alpha, and it was kind of a mess after that.  Some werewolves are born into families of wolves and theyâre kind of their own pack.  For me it wasnât that way and I didnât want to be a part of that one.  I rose to be an alpha on my own, without killing another to take his power, and then I kind of had my own pack.â  Scott knew his situation was different, hard to explain to someone who didnât know the ins and outs of werewolves.  âNo.  I think it would have happened anyway, my town was literally crawling with supernatural creatures, no one was gonna stay out of it for long.â
It was such a strange idea to him that a simple bite could change someone's life like that. That there would suddenly someone who thought they had some sort of power over you, expecting you to obey... His family had always been strict about their traditions and he didn't like many of them, especially when they required him to do something against his will, but at least he had his family to back him up and to be there for him. âMan, that's cool. Your own pack and all that. Do you think they're looking for you right now?â He thought about it for a moment, he had been around the supernatural from the very first day of his life. âI don't know what a 'normal' life looks like, I've known from the start what I am and who my people are. I've never had the chance to stay out of it, and I wouldn't want to. Too curious, you know? A lot of my friends are special, I wouldn't know how to live without all this.â There was a low growl. âWell, I could live without this, here, that's a part of the supernatural life that I don't agree with.â
Young angel? Not nearly as young as his words were sure to make many think. Michael didnât mind anyone thinking that way however since it made it easier to hide who he was. If people didnât know then he didnât have to talk about it, he wasnât asked for answersâin many ways it was the perfect camouflage. His time in Heaven and ruing it had been better spent cultivating his vessels bloodline and he was well aware heâd missed a thing or twoâŚor ten.
The note of pride is recognizable, itâs an emotion heâd very familiar with but refused to think about Lucifer while locked up. Itâs already Hell, he didnât need the lingering ghost memories of Lucifer hanging heavy around him.
âLuck?â he asked, head titling slightly to the side. âYou know humans think seeing angels is a good thing too. Iâm inclined to disagree, we only ever bring bad news and yet even now they donât seem to remember that. Itâs sad really.â
He had never thought much about angels or what meeting one of them could mean, but now that they were talking about it, he found himself wondering. What was it like to have people look at you with such great expectations?
âIsn't it weird? I mean, if you meet someone who believes that you're some kind of savior or something? You could probably help them with stuff, like, snap a finger and they're healthy or rich or whatever... Do you ever do that?â
He would. If he had powers that could change someone's life, he'd do it just to watch them and enjoy it.
âHow do they keep you down here? How does that work? Aren't you supposed to be almighty and all that?â

A lionâs tale - Furion & Aurum
âIâll stay,â Aurum replied, and he settled in against Furion. Although he should have stepped up his game and started trying to seduce the man, he couldnât quite bring himself to, now. A contented weariness was settling into his body now, aided by the intense comfort that he felt from being in contact with Furion. Several times, Aurum opened his eyes to look up at Furion again â not to reassure himself that the other was there, but to enjoy looking at him one more time. When Aurum finally fell asleep, he went out purring, utterly content.
-
Come morning, the camp was much quieter than it had been the night before. Most of the cats and their kin were still sleeping, or sluggishly beginning to move while groaning over headaches and hangovers. The forest still tasted of smoke from the great bonfire, but it slowly began to smell of sweeter smoke as fresh flames began to lick their way around pots and spits, as breakfast slowly began to come together in a dozen places. Aurum listened for a while, but he was more interested in just listening to the steady heartbeat of the lion heâd fallen asleep with.
The two of them had kept each other comfortably warm through the night and so, despite the chill morning, Aurum was comfortable. The truth was though that even if it had been snowing, even if it had been pouring down rain, a hundred degrees below, he still would have stayed, if Furion wanted him to. The older man had completely ensnared him and he knew it, but Aurum had no regrets. After all, it was somewhat his fault, considering he had walked up, flirted, and then refused to leave.
Seeing that Furion was still asleep, he closed his eyes and purred quietly for a few minutes to let his new companion know that he was awake but that all was well. Eventually, though, Aurum had to get up. He was often restless, and hadnât been still for that long in ages. Besides, the thought of bathing sounded nice, and the river wasnât very far away.
With one more purr, Aurum got up. He rubbed his cheek against Furionâs, eyes closed, and sighed softly against his hair before finally standing and making his way down to the river. The water was cold, but so clear and clean that on a morning like this, it was pure invitation. Aurum climbed up onto one of the large, rough boulders and stood at the top of it, admiring the view of the forest around them. Tiny tendrils of smoke curled up from their peoplesâ cooking fires, catching the early morning sunlight and turning into magical, graceful shapes. The thick leaves were turning into brilliant fall colors all around â as far as the eye could see, the land was covered in a blanket of red and golden colors, rustling in the breeze. As he looked out at the beautiful wilderness, Aurumâs heart felt full to the brim with the love he always carried for his people, for their way of life, for everything that they were. Although he had spent most of his life away from their people, he had never once failed to love them. He had spent years in private combat training with a tiger â one of the most physically powerful creatures heâd ever met, an elusive and arrogant creature named Xanon â who had also spoken of their people with the purest love, furthering Aurumâs own devotion. The tiger had told him every story of their people that he knew, had told him of traditions that had been lost, had taught him every song and every name, and Aurum had loved learning that just as much as he had loved the painful physical training. Eventually, though, he had to leave â he knew his place wasnât with the dangerous tiger, but was out in the wide world. He had gone out wandering, heart open, soul clean, and had never regretted a day. Everywhere that he wandered, every family he met with the lion blood in them, had only deepened Aurumâs love. He would do anything for their people â for any one of them, for all of them. That was what he had been born for, that was how he had voluntarily raised himself â and it was why he had finally come back, come out of seclusion.
Finally, he looked down at the river, which ran deep and slow here. He could see fish swimming around in the crystal clear water, shimmering silver shapes that seemed to hover before suddenly flashing and darting away, startled by the shadow of a bird, or some movement of the river, unknowable to him. Aurum smiled and was still for a while, just watching them. Eventually, he stripped out of his clothing and dove from where he was, reveling in the shock of the icy water as he plunged into it. Although his intention had been to bathe, once he was in the river, all Aurum wanted to do was swim.
After a while, he heard the voices of a group of young men heâd met the night before as they approached the river. One of them called to him in a friendly greeting and gestured to him. Aurum swam over. None of them looked like they were inclined to swim, a little too hungover and grouchy for that, but he was glad of their invitation.
âHow are you already swimming?â one asked.
âThe Prince can do anything,â Cyril, the oldest of the six friends, said with a laugh and a smile, although there was something unfriendly in the brief glance he gave Aurum. Still, he reached out and gave him a hand to pull him up and out of the river. âCanât you, Prince?â
âYou donât need to call me that,â Aurum answered, shrugging and standing on the rocky beach with them.
âNo? Everyone else does. Itâs a stupid title, though. Youâre not the prince of anything.â
âNo,â Aurum said, straightening his shoulders as Cyril walked behind him. âIâm not. Is there a problem, Cyril?â He didnât like the way the man had almost immediately shifted into a predatory mode, nor did he miss that, now that Cyril had set the tone, the other five young men had picked it up.
âA problem? No. No problem. At least, not until you showed up. Look at you. Look at your body. Youâre perfect. Aurum. The golden prince. You know, until you decided to come back and rejoin your people, the women looked at us. They looked at us. And then last night, here you are, you and your perfectly golden skin, your golden hair, your sunlight smile. And you donât even care. You spent the night with him. With the deviant.â
Aurum growled, a much lower and more menacing sound than any of them had anticipated, and the group of them all stepped away from him at once, although they didnât actually leave. âYou should have more respect for your elders, Cyril,â he said, his voice hard.
âIâm older than you are, prince.â
âI was talking about Furion. And you need to back off, Cyril. Stop circling me.â
âOr what?â the black-haired man snarled, his eyes gleaming green for a moment.
âOr Iâll make you stop,â Aurum replied, not an ounce of fear in his voice.
âYeah? Going to fight all six of us?â
âIf I have to.â
âNaked. Cold. Outnumbered. You really are an idiot, arenât you?â
âI wasnât taught to run from cowards.â
Cyril stopped in his tracks, right behind Aurum, and bared his teeth. âWhat did you just call me, little prince?â
âPretty sure you heard me.â Aurum shrugged.
âApologize.â
âNo.â
âApologize.â
âMake me.â
Cyril reached out and put his hands on Aurumâs shoulders, surprised at how warm they were despite him having come out of a cold river. He squeezed once, then leaned close enough to purr his next words right into Aurumâs ear. âWe will.â
-
By the time that a knife was pulled, two of the men were unconscious. Cyrilâs group had been losing and they knew it, and they decided to take things to the next level all at once. Cyril pulled a knife out and attempted to plunge it into Aurumâs shoulder while the others shifted â but Aurum twisted out of the way and grabbed him by the wrist and upper arm. He snapped Cyrilâs arm with one brutal twist at the elbow, but then a heavy feline body slammed into him â and Aurumâs head cracked loudly against a rock. In an instant, blood was flowing.
He woke slowly, gradually, one sense at a time. There was a familiar scent near him, but he could tell that the source of it had left. His arms were empty, the warm body he'd held through the night was gone, the purring had stopped. Slowly, his eyes opened and he looked around, scanning the place for the familiar face, but he was alone, Aurum was nowhere to be seen.
It took him a long time to convince himself to get up and get ready for the day. He didn't feel very hungover, his new companion had shown up in time to save him from drinking too much and that was one of the many things he intended to thank him for.
As he watched the camp wake up and get ready for the day, he found himself starting to become somewhat restless. The fact that he had woken up alone had not bothered him, after all they'd only just met and he didn't know how the other lion liked to start his day, but not seeing him around was beginning to worry him. Or maybe he was just missing his company and would like to have breakfast together to be able to watch him again...
Furion started to wander, moving about the camp as he tried to catch a glimpse of the golden hair he remembered from the night before. A tiny part of him was wondering if Aurum had already taken off and left the gathering behind to go back to the life had talked about â and the other half of him was asking himself what he would do if he had. Would he try to find him? Count on fate to bring them back together one day?
It was the scent of blood that caught his attention, it was barely there, but strong enough to make him pause his steps and try to find out where it was coming from. The river was nearby and after a moment of sniffing the air he realized that was where the scent was coming from. Furion didn't hesitate, he quickened his steps and approached the river, just in time to see a man being attacked by claws and fangs â the very man he had been looking for all morning.
Furion was silent when he changed, he had perfected the art of taking on his second skin over the course of time and it didn't take him longer than a heartbeat to literally jump out of his clothes and rush toward the group. The other lions were distracted, gathering around the fallen human form. There was the glint of metal, then one of them moved to approach him, only to be swept off his paws by a furious lion. Razorsharp fangs closed on a shoulder, tearing the skin open as the big head dragged the unfortunate male to the ground, the bite aiming to maim and incapacitate his victim.
The lion didn't waste any time, he whirled around and pounced, coming to land with his paws next to Aurum's fallen body as he roared at the remaining attackers, head held high, bloody fangs glistening in the sun as he glared at them, ready to take them down as well.
The hum of electricity buzzes lazily through the courtyard as if it doesnât hold some of the worldâs dangerous criminals within itâs gates. In all honestly the world out there is safer by having some of the inmates in here locked away but she is not on of them, sheâs not dangerous, not yet anyway. Maybe thatâs the point - sheâs full of that dark potential and the world will never have to experience it because itâs buried under layers and layers of drugs to make sure it never surfaces.Â
Her fingers tap against her sides as hazel green eyes study every angel, every chink in the fence. Sheâs not sure what she is looking for but she hasnât found it yet. Biancaâs concentration is broken by the sound of a voice, her gaze dropping to the grass where the man sits. âI wasnât looking for a way out.âÂ
Furion let out a short laugh, stretching his limbs to get comfortable. Just sitting on what little grass there is is lifting his spirits, but he knows better than to believe it will make him strong enough to try and escape. They are trapped here, no one is going to just walk out of here, not now, maybe not ever.
âYeah, and I'm merely a kitty cat in disguise and there is nothing magical about me at all...â He shakes his head, closing his eyes against the sun. âI can feel it. Your body language betrays you, you're literally screaming at everyone that you can't wait to bust those fences open. They â â he points at the guards surrounding them, âthey're trained to read you, the moment you lift a finger, they'll knock you out.â
