While hiking up #Tavoro #Waterfalls a friendly puppy we called 'Viti' joined us . She was so cute and such a trooper, she would whimper when she needed help getting over a big boulder and allowed us to carry her over wide streams . She watched over us while we swam - actually, she would fall asleep and slowly slide down the round boulder where she was perched. So funny to watch! . While walking back down from the waterfalls, we met a group of hikers. Without looking back or saying goodbye she ditched us and went with them 😢💔 . #Fiji #vacation

We hike up to #Tavoro #Waterfalls located in #Bouma National Heritage Park. It's a series of 3 waterfalls, the third one being the best for swimming in my opinion . I also spent the hike shrieking in surprise at the sight of purple crabs, frogs and huge spiders. Every. Damn. Time. . #ScardeyCat #Fiji #vacation

The #Waitavala natural rock waterslide was scarier than i anticipated. Literally sliding on slippery rocks, propelled by the strong river current. I had my arms raised on both sides to keep my head from bumping on the rocks. Ended up with bruises on my hips. It was exhilarating and so much fun . Siko stripped down to his undies to swim with us. Surprised that he was wearing lilac coloured leopard print briefs. Even more surprised to find out that he was such a flirt! 🤗👍🏾 . #Fiji #vacation

After over 2 hours of walking, a guy named Siko picks us up. We were headed to #Waiyevo to the #Waitavala natural rock waterslide. We pass by the #Taveuni Prison where Siko spent 6 years for drunk and disorderly behaviour . 'The prison walls are low but no one tries to escape. Inside, we are a community, we are among friends' Siko said . We wave to the prisoners tending pineapple. The place looks more like a farm tended by guys wearing matching orange uniforms . #Fiji #vacation

After #Nadi I flew to the #GardenIsland of #Fiji called #Taveuni . My host Robert, met me at the airport and we strolled to his airbnb 10 minutes away . His place was tropically designed and had an amazing view of the beach. I felt like my vacation had finally begun ❤️

Sai (my cab driver turned city tour guide) and I were drinking #FijiGold the #Fiji way - from a shared glass. 🍺 This drunk guy walked by and we offered him a drink. When he left, I could still smell his sour breath on the shared glass. I tried not to think about it. 🤷🏾‍♂️ The sunset was beautiful that day. #vacation

There are not a lot of #Filipinx living or visiting #Fiji so the locals had difficulty placing my ethnicity. 😝👋🏾👋🏾 #vacation

Meressa, my food tour guide told me that when it rains and the sun is out, a monkey is celebrating its birthday. 🍰🐒 On that particular day, there sure were plenty of celebrations 😅☔️

My first night in #Nadi #Fiji - A few locals were drinking #kava beside the roadside barbecue stall where i was eating and invited me over. I only had a few rounds but it already made my tongue numb, my throat dry and made me feel very relaxed. It was a very enjoyable experience. I bought them some #FijiGold beers for their hospitality 😃 thanks guys!
