There's no sound in space.

People say that there are two sides to every story, that you need to find the gray between the black-and-white worldview. But I know that these people are wrong.

Not in the way you think, though. There’s only one story: Your own. You live through it day by day, and because that’s the only world you see it’s impossible for it to have more than one side.

I learned that there aren’t any sides to stories. There just are. We’re all living through our own. And it never goes the way we want or expect because—unfortunately—we’re taught that that’s the way life works.

It happened in New York. I knew beforehand that there’s definitely something human underneath the villains I’ve fought. There’s something not quite evil beneath a lot of them, something that makes them a little closer to us than we’d like. The thing is, though, I didn’t really understand this just with villains. I saw it in heroes, too.

And I saw it in me.

It’s the summer of 2019, and Ben Tennyson and his family and friends have decided to take a two week trip to New York City to enjoy themselves. There’s a lot they don’t know about the city - one thing they don’t know is how the hero business works. For you see, heroes and villains in New York work for companies alongside their sidekicks in order to fight and cause crime. In exchange for their efforts they receive things like exposure, financial stability - the works.
