everyone talks about the ' i wouldn't trade one stupid decision for another five years of life' line from all my friends which yeah obviously hits u right in the heart but the one that gets me personally is 'you spent the first five years trying to get with the plan and the next five years trying to be with your friends again'. like yeah u can chase what everyone is told they should and make the 'right' choices and youre going to get there and look back at it and wish you were walking home tipsy at 5am on a summer morning with your arms wrapped round your friends and have to realise its never going to be quite like that again. yes you might have a steady paycheck and a pension but your best friend isn't a bike ride down the road away or two stops on a bus. you pay your bills and enjoy your job but nothing has ever been as funny again as it was on warm night drinking with your friends for the first time.
