I guess an intro post is in order! Hopefully I do this right.

Hi! My name is Maple! I'm a Canadian genderfluid person but I tend to go by She/Her :) I've been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and I'm trying to just learn my way through life!

I'm also relearning how to just make art for myself and include all of you in the ride :D

My main hyper fixation is Mario specifically Super Paper Mario but I'm part of so many fandoms it's hard to keep track of.

Okay, okay, I won't drag that on for too long XD I had originally tried to rewrite "the night before Christmas", only to realize halfway through it had nothing to do with the Grinch, so then I tried to rewrite that. But you came here for the art, not for a shitty, Mario version of the beloved Dr. Seuss book.

I'll be honest, I drew these last year, but for some reason (like the reference of Fawful that I had done) I never actually posted them. I can't remember exactly why, but ah well. I'm doing it now.

I could decide whether or not I wanted to have a super star ornament (which would make more sense for the Mushroom Kingdom) or a dark star ornament (which just looks cool) so I did both versions.

Even now, a year later, I still love how these turned out. I'd love to hear what y'all think about them too! (And also, if you'd like me to properly write a version of the Grinch, but Mario-ified, to do along with the drawing XDD)

To everyone that's read this far, I hope you all have a happy holidays, no matter what you're celebrating. Christmas, hannukah, yuletide, the eve of the Giving Star, no matter what it may be. I hope you all have a wonderful night, and an even better year to come <3

My current not-approved-by-the-government opinion is that im not anyone's parent and i should not be responsible for random teenagers online. If I post smth thats 'meant for adults' and its labled as such then what happens from there is literally not my problem. If a teen- who is fully capable of turning on self moderation settings on their own btw- doesn't use a site's provided self moderation settings and they see boobs or dicks then like literally whatever, its neither the end of the world or a big deal. It shouldn't fall on me or a website or a tech company to do a parent's job, and also frankly i don't think a parent should be breathing down their 16 year old's neck on the off chance they do actually want to look at tits, but thats a discussion that americans will fucking throw a fit at so maybe we'll discuss that another day in better company.

"But what about young children!!" see thats! where parents should be involved- that is to say, why are you letting your young child on the internet in the first place, you fucking idiot.

//Backstory//

Caelum was created the day the worlds were supposed to end.

A side effect born of Dimentio's last ditch effort to protect and rekindle a dying Chaos Heart. The jester had poured what little power lingered after the formation of Super Dimentio. (A mix of his and Luigi/Mr. L's energy since the two got all mingled up in the Super Dimentio transformation) and accidentally pulls a Luvbi, creating Caelum.

Dimentio raised Caelum in a small house, on the outskirts of Flopside, quickly growing to see him as his son instead of just a vessel for the heart. Everything went fine for about ten years before the Mario brothers caught wind of things. The heroes of light (Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser) end up facing off against Dimentio again and winning, locking him away in the River Twygz. Luigi, not knowing exactly why, convinces the others to not lock Caelum away as well, instead basically pseudo 'adopting' him and taking him back to the Mushroom Kingdom/Darklands.

Caelum then kinda bounced from the Bros house to the Castle with Peach and Bowser's castle for a while, mainly staying with Bowser since Bowser was the only one Caelum could really tolerate.

I couldn't find a phone background of Dimentio that I liked so I made one myself on an app I found, I usually mess around with it when I'm bored 🤣

I used different elements/colors to make the Chaos Heart :D as well as the void and I'm very proud of it
