Stan wants to become mayor, so why does he spend this whole episode saying junk that the public doesn't want to hear and that won't get him elected? We know he's good at spewing bullshit: he does it for a living at the Mystery Shack! He knows how to say what people want to hear. So why doesn't he do it for the election???

maybe it's because he's sick of lying now that Ford's back, and he wants people to like him when he's not pretending to be someone else?
