They should've kept Nightfallen Thalyssra. The fruit can still cure their mana dependency, but I want her going to events and parties all skeletal and decrepit. If Lor'themar can't love her without a nose, he doesn't deserve her.

the fact that thrall basically demanded bilgewater cartel to join the horde with gallywix in charge is literally public knowledge like you can read about it on wikigob but we got kids complaining they didn't learn that in school. anyway, down with gallywix, thrall is a fraud.

Okay I feel like I have to say something (as a Champion of Azeroth btw) because everyone's freaking out about it:
Yes, there's a big mean green ball up in the sky. That's Argus, the home of the eredar and base of the Burning Legion. I was at the Tomb of Sargeras and helped defeat Kil'jaeden, and Illidan used some key to open a portal to Argus to attack them directly.
Don't panic! We have it handled. We have powerful artifacts to defeat the Legion. I have this knife that tells me kind of concerning things but it helps defeat demons so it's fine.

oh great the "champions of azeroth" are gonna fix allll our problems. just like you did when you DIDNT kill garrosh and caused an invasion of orcs from an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE that got us into this present mess... for all we know your "talking knife" (sure) is just gonna make everything worse.

I recently got back into WoW after a short hiatus, and I just finished the TWW questlines I missed. Thoughts under the cut.
First of all, Undermine was excellent! Goblins in WoW often end up as little more than a few tired jokes, but here they're written with nuance and humanity. We've got goofy slapstick hijinks in the sidequests, but the main story has real weight to it. Plus, the quests and activities are a joy to run through. The patch shows exactly why I love the goblins.
K'aresh kept the excellent writing, but the quests are a mixed bag. There's not much to do overall, and just because they brought back the ethereals doesn't mean they should bring back the BC-era drop rates for quest items. Still, the writing does a good job conveying the weight of this tragedy, and yet there's moments of levity and humor to be found.
The Eco-dome quests are almost great. I love the idea of them, but it feels like the story is stretched thin over too many quests. And it really should've ended with K'arrocs; the snake quests feel unfinished and aimless, and it makes for an anticlimactic end to go from reviving a dead species to grabbing snakes for what feels like no reason. Still, there were some great moments and I enjoyed the questline overall.
The Red Dawn was interesting. I saw a lot of hate for it online, but playing through it I found myself pleasantly surprised. There are some notable issues (like the Witherbark trolls being relegated to mooks for the millionth time) but from the hate, I expected much worse! Overall, it seems like WoW is trying to shut the book on the faction war and move onto conflicts within the factions, which I think is a good direction. It feels like WoW has done all it can with Horde VS Alliance. But who knows, maybe we'll look back on this in five years and all agree that it was a bad/good decision.
On the whole, TWW may have been unfocused and aimless, but the self-contained stories were excellent with some of the best prose WoW's ever had. I enjoyed Lemix, but it reminded me of how hit-or-miss Legion's writing was (though not as bad as Cata's love of goddawful pop-culture references). I have no idea where things will go in Midnight, but TWW has given me hope. And at the end of the day, it can't be worse than what WoW has already given us.

i want the alliance to have a messy civil war and overthrow at least one monarchy
i was looking at concept art for broker assets and--
im sorry. i'm sorry. those are legs? on the wagon? wagon with legs?
Yeah!!!! Im really sad we've never seen them walk around in game because you can see the legs tucked up underneath the wagons, but all of the ones we've seen have been stationary.
I was going around taking screenshots of Wastelander settlements for art references and you can see it in this pic. The wagons loaf like a cat(or a purrkin i guess)

The Dimensius Dimmadome
I'm looking back on TWW, and man did the Nerubians get dropped like a rock. They were built up as a powerful people, simultaneously dangerous foes and unique allies, one of the four major factions of the expansion. They were definitely a one-expac group who'd probably get forgotten by Midnight, but they had a lot of build-up and potential, even beyond Nerub-ar Palace.
But they had nothing to do in Patch 11.0.7 and 11.1.0, and when they finally show up in 11.1.5, it's to be faceless empty mooks to be mowed down in the hundreds. You know, there's a quest in the main story where it was revealed that many of the Ascended were actually kidnapped and brainwashed civilians. And the patch completely ignores the moral complexity that these enemies are actually ordinary people forced to fight against their will, in favor of Paladin hits Monster with Hammer.
And then in Patch 11.2.0, we need to find an expert in pheromone synthesis and are sent to Azj-Kahet... to talk to the niffen. Like, the niffen do have a strong sense of smell and a good understanding of fragrance, but the Nerubians have an entire sect of society dedicated to the synthesis of specific pheromones! And we are personal friends with Executor Nizrek, so we have connections. But instead we get sent to a character that has only a tangential connection to the field and they're our "expert". It'd be like getting sent to Dun Morogh to seek out an expert in tinkering and then getting directed to some random dwarf.
And that was the last chance TWW had to use the Nerubians. A bit disappointing, but it was nice to see them again. Hopefully the Last Titan brings them back!
has anyone ever been crucified in warcraft lore
Sylvanas Windrunner got kind of crucified in the Sunwell Trilogy!
Okay, this is something that will never (and probably should never) be in wow, but I really want it.
Voting for Warchief/High King.
Imagine: every year we get an event where players can vote on the next heads of the Alliance and Horde. Pick your favorite leader and try to convince others to do the same! Generate incredible drama over pointless nonsense! Try to cheat!
And I'm not asking for these characters to be the next Major Lore Character. The title should have zero impact on the story or lore. This is not about characters getting attention from Blizzard, it's about proving who has the most fans. This must be pointless.
