Something I think about a lot is how in Shadow of Kyoshi everyone just IDOLIZES Yangchen. And Kyoshi just constantly feels like the avatar no one wanted, the wrong person, the worst avatar of all time, and just generally a disappointment compared to Yangchen and all the past avatars. But most of the time, when we hear of Kyoshi’s time as avatar, we hear nothing but the exact same love and respect people give to Yangchen, if not even more. And the fact that this girl, who doubts and criticizes herself at practically every turn, becomes one of the most adored avatars of all time? makes me cry.
