i was wary going in since i didn’t enjoy analogue much, but ended up liking it a lot

it helps that it relies on the strengths of Love’s writing (humor & dialogue) rather than the weaknesses (descriptive prose)

it’s less thematically ambitious than analogue, but that just meant that it ended up a lot more successful & confident in achieving its own goals

it’s also Very Much Porn so ymmv w/ that. i found it more of a thoughtful rumination on sex in relationships than Hot, but i’m not into BDSM/humiliation stuff.

& it ends with one big metal gear joke/anticapitalist screed lmao

i still don’t like putting labels on my sexuality since i’m dealing with so many tangled layers of repression/intimacy issues
