The cat AU distribution system has gifted me with another AU.
Royal Bodyguard AU
A Manadow (Manic x Shadow) focused AU where Shadow is assigned by GUN to be Manic's bodyguard, and through a mix of Shadow being a dense bastard and Manic lying by omission it takes him longer than it should have to realize that Manic isn't just some punk kleptomaniac hobo and is the prince he was hired to protect (he is all of those too, but not just those).
GUN isn't aware of Sonia's location at first, but once they find her they assign Rouge to be her bodyguard.
Manic, Sonia, and Sonic are still triplets but Sonic has never mentioned it so even once he figures out that Manic is prince 1, it still takes him a while to figure out that Sonic is prince 2 (GUN did tell him that there are 2 princes and a princess)..
