I remembered that salt and/or sand can be added to pictures to make cool textures, so I thought that'd be a cool thing for them to try out.

@sleepingreader With eridians having lots of siblings, I think Gem and Things might be first cousins or something (as I have already designed Gem's siblings)

Luna's family!

From oldest to youngest of the siblings is Crest, Polaris, Gem, and then Luna

Crest was a part of the team to build the Blip-A, but as Rocky mentioned, it was done in a rush with a lot of things breaking as a result. Crest's group was working on part of it when something went wrong. Because of their quick reaction, most of the team got out, but not all of them. Crest's shell was badly cracked by heavy debris, so now has prosthetics and plates (made of eridian steel) along where the damage was. They have a relative interest in humanity, but don't engage as much on the subject as other members of their family.

Fern is Ris's mate. He and Crest were co-workers and helped Crest design some robotic elements in the prosthetics. When Rocky and Grace return, he and Luna are revealed to be huge nerds about humanity. They are also the only ones in this group to settle on preferred pronouns. Fern goes by masculine ones because of Rocky. Luna goes by feminine ones because she got really attached to "My little pony: friendship is magic" and "Steven Universe".

Ris (pronounced like "Reese") has very little interest in space stuff. When Fern asked if they wanted a human name, they just left it up to Luna and Fern to pick one for them. After a lot of debating, they came up with "Polaris", after Earth's northern star. After explaining stuff about guiding light, finding your way, etc. Ris acknowledged that this was a very cheesy name choice, but they are 100% keeping it.

Gem picked out their name with Luna's help. She has more interest in humanity than Ris, but not as much as Fern or Luna. She does think Garnet as a character is pretty cool, though. The designs on her shell are naturally occurring stripes, but they have no idea about the color difference until a human tells them. The jewelry on their carapace is a necklace/chain/earring type accessory they like to wear because they think it sounds nice.

This showed up in my brain and I thought it'd be a cool idea. Featuring Casita (or Casi) as Rocky, because she'd feel like home to Mirabel.

Also, the whole thing with Madrigal and miracles. Like, it would be in the PHM universe, so no superpowers or anything.
