“I’m going to need you to kindly talk me down from making a life changing decision,” Lorelei mused, leaning over the counter to grab her coffee order. The quicker she had some caffeine in her bloodstream, the better. “So, yesterday I went for a haircut and it was going, well, fairly normally. I almost got those curtain bangs that are really in style, but who am I kidding? I’d never keep up with styling them,” the brunette laughed. “Anyways, it was pretty normal, until my stylist made the craziest suggestion –she told me I should consider going blonde.” Lorelei stopped, holding for dramatic effect. “Isn’t that the funniest thing you’ve ever heard? It’s so crazy that I just might…” 

“right, okay…” the raven haired woman muttered in concentration as she squared herself up against the soccer ball in front of her. the park was a bit more packed than usual; and esme had felt too bad to kick the small kids off of the big lawn where they played a game of tag, so she’d found another empty patch of grass to kick her ball around and practice. taking a steady breath, the player wound up her leg with far more gusto than she had realized - as soon as her foot made contact with the ball, it flew up three feet higher than she’d intended and was soon making it’s way across the patch of green, and directly into the body of a passerby. “oh, shit,” esme hissed to herself looking around, “you um, you alright, peach? sorry ‘bout that.” she identified herself, chewing on her bottom lip. @manhattan-starters​

Zelda walked through the quad, her eyes on her cell phone and a coffee in her free hand as she scrolled through her facebook.  She glanced up every once in a while to assure she wouldn’t run into someone or something, which revealed the dark purple circles under her eyes, she’d regretted staying up so late last night working, but she needed the money. It was helping her pay for schooling and rent.
