My New Island Town of Ainoa Ao - Animal Crossing New Leaf (2012)
I spent about a week making an island town of my own. I had so much fun doing it. I even made a lil backstory. It's modded a little bit, but it's mostly recolors and doesn't affect overall gameplay.

==================================
Ainoa Ao, otherwise known as "The Divided Islands" is a microstate seated between two separate islands of Ainoa & Ao. It originally was joined together as one and did very well for itself, but due to a volcano that erupted during the 1990's the country was split in half. Dealing massive damage to the island and it's inhabitants. Due to this, a vast majority of residents have fled, with businesses deciding to take leave after the eruption due to lack of profit and aid from the government.
Currently, interest towards the island has been rising, with tourism being the #1 source of income, with Ainoa Ao being known for it's natural beauty and landmarks. With this being alluring to tourists as unlike other islands, the flora is almost exclusively blue. There is also crystal blue seas, a thriving community of locals, a rich ancient history, and fresh organic fruits, flowers, fish, and delicacies!
Although this may seem like an ideal destination to move into, it is a shitty place to live. With most residents living way below the poverty line. The economy has been steadily declining ever since the eruption and was unable to fully recover. There is no access to clean water, no electricity, no access to medical care whatsoever, and the government is severely underfunded and understaffed. Communal living and subsistence farming is the only way of life here, with most of the villagers knowing how to swim, fish, & farm out of pure necessity. Most business have left, with a couple local stores still active barely scraping by.
But if you are willing to ignore these "small issues" then you will have a great time on the beautiful divided islands! Book Today!!!!!!!
(Keep in mind that all forms of public transportation has been out of commission since 1999, you will have to visit via boat.)

I may even turn this into a let's play blog to see how all the villagers get through life after such a massive hit. Maybe through the eyes of Kaora? Since he's been there the longest. Anyway, enough of my yapping. I hope you like my island & the story behind it. lmk where to improve. ty!
