Lesbians, In My Head: A Collection of Intimate ConfessionsÂ
by Eleanor Rosewood (Author)
This book was never meant to be neat.
Lesbians, In My Head: A Collection of Intimate Confessions - Kindle edition by Rosewood, Eleanor. Literature & Fiction Kindle eBooks @ Amazon.com.
Iâve read the soft ones. The gentle, affirming, safe romances where everything unfolds like itâs supposed to. Iâve read the high-drama ones too, where trauma stacks on trauma until love feels like survival. Even the erotic stories so often move in the same choreography. Meet. Tension. First touch. First time. Emotional confession. Resolution.
But what feels missing?
Interior eroticism.
The private mind of a woman desiring another woman without constantly explaining it. Not just what they do to each other, but what it feels like to want her in a grocery store aisle. To imagine the weight of her hand at the small of your back while pretending to listen to someone else talk. The quiet territorial flicker when another woman laughs too easily at her joke. The way you tell yourself youâre not jealous. Not possessive. Not that far gone. And then you are.
Lesbian love is never just one temperature. It moves. One night itâs teeth and control and wanting her so badly it makes you sharp. The next morning itâs soft thighs tangled in sheets and the quiet panic of realizing you feel safe.
This collection of intimate confessions does not follow a single story. There is no tidy arc. No promised resolution. Instead, it slips inside the moments women rarely say out loud. The hunger that shows up in ordinary spaces. The obsession that grows in silence. The reckless weekends. The tender aftermath. The power shifts. The vulnerability that feels more exposing than nudity ever could.
Some pieces are dark. Some ache. Some laugh in bed and donât think about tomorrow. Some sit in that fragile space between wanting and admitting it.
These are fragments of women loving women from the inside out. Unapologetic. Unresolved. Sometimes possessive. Sometimes terrified. Sometimes so undone by desire they can barely recognize themselves.
Not written to perform. Not written to explain. Just written from the pulse of it. This isnât a romance you consume and forget.
Itâs the inside of your own head, written down before you could censor it.
This book understands the way lesbians actually desire. Not just the soft-focus version. Not just the tragic version. The complicated one. The petty one. The obsessive one. The one where you pretend youâre fine while tracking who sheâs standing next to across the room.
It lives in the moments no one writes about.
This book doesnât explain us. It doesnât defend us. It doesnât soften us to make anyone comfortable.
It stays inside the female gaze. Inside the female body. Inside the female mind.
Itâs about the glance before the touch. The thought you swallow. The text you type and delete. The way control shifts between two women who both think theyâre the strong one.
Thereâs heat here. Real heat. But it isnât mechanical. It isnât choreography. When sex happens, it complicates things. It exposes. It destabilizes. Sometimes it makes everything worse. Sometimes it makes you want to stay.
This book feels like reading someoneâs private notes at midnight. The parts we donât post. The parts we donât admit in daylight.
It doesnât promise tidy endings. It promises recognition.
And if youâve ever loved a woman in silence. If youâve ever wanted her more than you were prepared to admit. If youâve ever felt both powerful and completely undone in the same breath.
Youâre already in it.

â¨
Iâve read more trans books than I can count, but this one doesnât coddle. It doesnât pander. It doesnât dilute the experience to make it digestible for outsiders.
You donât need to read it. You donât even need to buy it. You just need to know it existsâand that should be enough to make the right people nervous.
What it does is speak with the kind of clarity, confidence, and emotional precision that makes you stop mid-page and say, âExactly. That. Finally someone said it.â
Itâs not about explaining transness to cis peopleâitâs about being with full fire in it with those of us living it. The tone doesnât beg to be understood. It already is. It captures the emotional whiplash of being transâthe sharp, sometimes absurd contrast between what you envisioned and what actually unfoldsâwith elegance and fire.
It acknowledges the ache without collapsing under it. It names the hard stuffâimposter syndrome, passing pressure, the alienation from both cis and trans spacesâwithout ever letting those things define the narrative. Itâs a reclamation of complexity. A celebration of the non-linear. A reminder that self-possession is its own kind of resistance.
And maybe most importantly, itâs deeply grounding. It doesnât promise you ease. It offers you truth, style, and power in equal measure. Itâs like getting handed a mirror that doesnât distortâjust reflects you back with sharper edges, better lighting, and no apologies.
This book doesnât beg to be readâit dares to be known.
