okk uhm from what i've read so far
(it was late at night i had a headache and I was going crazy so i will update this in the future )

like the show alamo lab previously was a scientific laboratory for various experiments,(quite crazy experiments), and one of the goals of the scientists was not to dematerialize living beings on the internet but to try to communicate telepathically with chickens (apparently)
colby was a scientists like everyone else actually, he wasn't in charge of anything, he just came after.
so they tried with a first chicken, which they named "Testa di Rapa"
this thing actually happens in the show, before gino colby takes a chicken and calls him "Testa di Rapa"
since "testa di rapa" here it's like a slang to say "blockhead" and all of that, i thought colby was just insulting him
BUT HIS LAB NAME IS ACTUALLY TESTA DI RAPA

so testa di rapa died because of another experiment rip testa di rapa
Gino was there to be cooked but with the death of Testa di Rapa they moved him to the laboratory.
There's a sergeant who works at Alamo, his name is Billy Olive Duarte, the one who could speak telepathically with Gino and who was in charge of this project with the chickens (he was probably a mix of what ringo and andrea became in the show). all of this around 1994.
on january 18, 1995 colby replaces billy and becomes the project leader , taking full control of the laboratory. he treated Gino BADLY but BADLY (poor thing lmao) and the files say he was literally screaming at gino: "I'll dematerialize you stupid maniac chicken !!". so the dematerialization plan was initially just colby's idea , not of the entire scientific group.
Gino tried to communicate with Billy telepathically but Colby dematerialized him.
from what I've read it also seems that the lab later burned down and that Billy Olive is a suspect ?
a lot of things have been changed for the show from this , but they've also put in a lot of little references, and I love that.
i'm not completely done so I might have mixed up some things , and that's why ya need to stay tuned for more ๐ฅ
