Summer smothering me, mantras and incantations, I could never speak

The moon so unimaginable outside the door, how could it be real, so beautiful

Playing with my toys on the stairs, the painting of a fish on the wall, I was blessed with a lovely childhood

I’ve wrote to you, my enemy, deep in the night when I should have been sleeping

She’s the constant, she’s the substance, she’s the wind and the clouds that makes me feel real and alive

I wish to escape from war and politics, I’m simple, and new, and raw, love a temple I still worship in

Rain clouds like snow. Branches bending breaking for you

A place in time, beneath the clouds and fragrant flowers

Rain and softer things, call to my heart, when you are safe, and we are somehow close again, I feel at home

The most alive I’ve felt was with no possessions.

Everything so ephemeral

Something in your being, the silence that speaks from your heart

Every hard worker and family man taken away for living the American dream

I try not to be spiritual, but every landscape, every word, every luminous moon, brings me back to myself and you
