there's a difference to me in saying dan and phil are dating vs phan is real. like on the one hand they're just a couple of guys who have been living together for 15 years yeah big shock. on the other hand I've been on tumblr since I was 14.

do you get what I mean. phan is real is like a seismic shift in the culture. the way that my brain developed as a chronically online closeted teenager can't handle that information. dan and phil the real life guys are in love is like yeah what's new.

I think what gets me even more than the mental image of Dan picking Phil up to do a “Phil Squat,” it’s that he apparently does it often enough that he has a silly little nickname for it?! Like, that’s so cute and boyfriendy I can’t stand it :((
