I started messing with apps before I started to learn photoshop. Amateur hour, but still looks cool.
So, What Happened After the 1st Cave Show?
I was riding high after that show turned out to be awesome. Paul was extremely appreciative for the turnout and the way things were handled. I did a little research on how a band manager operates and what the responsibilities were. What kinds of things would make shows go smooth and make the band successful I went and bought a notebook so I could try and keep track of all the things going on.Â
Lots of things actually were going on. We had booked a gig at a house party for a friend's birthday. That show was unpaid, but gave it us a lot of exposure. The Cave had also sent me an e-mail asking me to put together another show for them. They wanted it for a Friday night, any bands I wanted to open, carte blanche. I got to choose the cover charge and would collect that at the end of the night to distribute. I had fun with that, Ill get to putting that together later.Â
We had fun at the house party, and I had met with a guy named Dan after the show who was blown away by Crude Morgan's performance. He offered to record them for free in his studio because he was trying to build up his portfolio of tracks. Dan really wanted to work with us.Â
We had a band meeting one night, to address many of the issues that a young band has to confront. We established a common goal, and discussed playing shows, practices, money distribution between the 4 band members and myself, and the recording. We ultimately decided to turn Dan's offer down, because Steve is a music magician and can mix tracks very well himself. At the meeting, I was officially named the band manager.Â
After the meeting, we booked a gig in Raleigh with my roommate's brother's band, Unifier. This was bad ass because Unifier is signed with a large record label and have done country wide tours in the past. It was a great opportunity to play another town in the area with some more known bands.Â
So begins my epic quest of building the bill for the Cave show, and figuring out how to get people there.
An earlier practice in Crude's career. So what if it's in a laundry room...

Fish taking in vibes while playing at Laura's birthday party
If you're going to be crazy, you have to get paid for it or else you're going to be locked up.
Hunter S. Thompson, Chief of Shenanigans and all things nuts. RIP
Just got these. Wrong email address. As long as you learn from your mistakes the mistake may have been worth it. Sill, the card looks great.Â
Hey I've been working hard to build a web media presence. Help me out and Like the band Facebook page. The more likes the more free advertising we get! Thanks!
How Did This Whole Thing Really Start
One night I was grabbing a drink at the Bow Bar in Carrboro, NC with my cousin Cory, and my good friend Rick. Cory's friend, Paul, was in town visiting family, but also looking for a band to open his band's show at The Cave on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, NC. I hooked Paul's band, Tom Blacklung and the Smokestacks, with my friend Rick's band, Crude Morgan.  After promising Paul I could bring a crowd to his show, I quickly realized he was counting on me to actually promote the show. He was going to be on tour with his band from Brooklyn. Not wanting to let my cousin, or Paul down, I started promoting the hell out of the show. I built a Facebook page for Crude Morgan, passed out flyers, did everything I could to get people to the show. I started taking photos and videos, editing them, and using them for the band's Facebook page. The show turned out to be a pretty big success. Tons of people showed up, everyone had fun, and everyone involved made money. The bar owner gave me the money to pay out the bands. I hadn't expected this. He also asked me to set up another show because of the turnout. It was pretty awesome. That's how I unofficially started to manage the new up and coming band Crude Morgan.Â

Fish Schneider. Trader Joe magician and front man of the band Crude Morgan.
A few more I've taken over the last few weeks
So I've challenged my self to do everything on the business end of this band. Including taking the photos and editing them. It has been such a great experience so farÂ
How it all began
When I made this topic, I thought that I could sum it up in a few words. I'm going to think about how to phrase this.
