there are many things that elias is , and being directionally challenged happens to be a big chunk of that ā ā i'm so sorry , i literally have no idea where that could possibly be . you could try student services ? ā ā he offers sheepishly , pointing at a different booth with a half-hearted smile on his face , watching the freshman go in that direction before completely deflating in his seat , rubbing a hand over his face with a sigh ā ā this is a nightmare . how does it get busier every year ? ā ā he asks to no one in particular , shoulders sagging .
"Right?!", he half-smiled, eyes still glued to the chaos and hands busy with his popcorn. This was by far the best and the worst season of the academic year. Freshmen running around, people going from overwhelmed to embarrassingly exited. No one knew where to go, what to do, what to say, and those who did wanted nothing more than to scape this hell hole. Perfection. That was the word for it all. And absolute nightmare at the same time. Something about the chaotic energy of this moment always seemed to please and annoy Atlas to the very core. He loved it. Couldn't get enough of his creepy habit of people watching. Specially when he had this obscene amount of popcorn and a great little seat next to the booths. Better than any movie, that was for sure. And someone else seemed to notice exactly that. Though the enjoyment part wasn't quite there yet. "But wait until we get to the meltdowns... people running late, older students losing patience. It gets so much worse!" and he laughed, quietly, shoving popcorn up his mouth like he was on the top of the world.
