I know many people in our communities have alcohol/drug addictions or are around people who do, so I want to teach you all some first aid tips!

if someone is unconscious, for example if they've passed out drunk, first make sure the scene is safe, then check for breathing and a pulse!

make sure to check if the person's airway is blocked. placing your fingers under their chin and tilting the head back can help clear their airway.

to check for a person's pulse, place two fingers on their neck beside their windpipe and press firmly for 5-10 seconds.

if the person has no pulse, call emergency services, find an AED (or tell someone to find one if that's possible) and begin CPR if you know how. follow the instructions on the AED to defibrillate the person.

if the person is breathing and has a pulse, place them in the recovery position!

make sure they are on their side with the higher arm folded under their head, the lower arm bent forward, and the higher leg bent, like this:

their mouth should be open and facing downward. that way, if they vomit, the vomit can drain out of their mouth and they won't choke on it.

you can place soft but heavy objects, like pillows weighted down with something, around the person to keep them from accidentally turning over.

Speaking of best friends how I met my friend group is because they moved into the apartment across from mine, they were twins and the youngest of the family. Apparently I could tell them apart from the get go (I always thought it took my a couple of weeks) but we were an inseparable trio our families became extremely close to the point where we would just refer to each other as sisters anyways, in the apartment downstairs a new family moved in and our trio did notttt like them we thought their dad was a big meanie because he yelled at us for playing in the apartment buildings hallways (which we always do) so in retaliation we were mean to them we placed trash bags on their door, we would ding ding ditch we would argue with their daughters. And then at some point we just like stopped and became really close friends with their daughters and we realized their dad was really nice he just didn’t like loud noises but he learned to tolerate our playing noises, he said he realized he’d much rather us being loud and having fun then us arguing and yelling. And as more families moved into the apartment complex our friend group became bigger and bigger. Then I moved like 2,000 miles away I still miss them a lot but I do get to visit them!

(Ik it’s not a crazy story but it’s a cute one so it still counts)

uhuhu my story Well i dont really have many that arent super traumaticbut there was these two girls in my like kinder garten years and i used to play animals a lot and basically i was playing lions and they said they were scared of lions and they grabbed me by each of my arms and lifted me up and swung me agaist this big concrete wall and hit my head against it severaltimes and then threw me at it and i got ljke a dint on my head Sorry genuinely i have no good memories ever
