So here’s what I have to say about Serenity: This is the kind of movie that I have always intended Ender’s Game to be (though the plots are not at all similar). And this is as good a movie as I always hoped Ender’s Game would be. And I’ll tell you this right now: If Ender’s Game can’t be this kind of movie, and this good a movie, then I want it never to be made. I’d rather just watch Serenity again.

As a HUGE fan of Firefly and Serenity, plus a HUGE fan of Ender’s Game, I think this really says it all. By the way, Speaker for the Dead is 99.9% as good as Ender’s Game. Just sayin’….

So, I wonder if Card really believes that the film Ender's Game is even .0001% as good as Serenity.

I avoided watching it for soooooo long, but finally succumbed when it was on HBO (or some such network). I wish I'd resisted.

The glance between Mal and Inara just after Nandi is killed speaks volumes. No words are needed.

I love everything about Firefly. There is no wasted dialogue. Every action has meaning.

It’s so tough pick a favorite episode, but this one may be it. I know we all wish it could have gone on for many seasons. I especially feel that way because we were robbed to see where the Mal/Inara relationship would have gone.

The Twilight thing and a lot of these franchise attempts coming out, everything rests on what this girl will do, but she’s completely passive, or not really knowing what the hell is going on. And that’s incredibly frustrating to me because a lot of what’s taking on the oeuvre of Buffy, is actually a reaction against it. Everything is there — except for the Buffy. A lot of things aimed at the younger kids is just Choosing Boyfriends: The Movie.
