Imagine risking your life for 10+ years serving in the US military and earning 3 Medals of Honour just for it all to mean nothing/be stripped from you because of a (albeit, shitty) decision you made while you were experiencing not only grief but probably some sort of ptsd episode. I mean, cmon, you think Lemar was the first friend of johns to be killed in front of him? That man had to have been having horrific flashbacks along with the blind rage caused by grief.
