i feel like arsenes relationship/awakening was way more personal than orpheus (p3) or izanagi (p4) - the whole contract binding plus personality of arsene makes him seem more like a separate entity and/or partner in crime to joker rather than a “piece” of him ??

i also love that in order for the contract w/ arsene to be forged akira literally had to become a shadow (yellow eyes) and accept this true self!!!!!!!! i feel like p5s take on it was really refreshing as it wasnt straightforwardly the “distorted self”; to accept arsene was to become that distortion

ofc i got incredibly choked up when ur forced to gullotine him..i actually skipped the cutscene the first time around EVEN THO ARSENE REASSURES YOU i just felt v sick :-(

IM NOT EVEN ONTO THE ENDGAME BATTLE YET GOD just, god when arsene reappears and you realize you’ve been harboring the literal god of demons the whole time who was stepping in to defeat another god

AND THE FACT THAT JOKER FINALLY BECOMING HIS TRUE SELF, BROADCASTING THE THIEVES TO THE WORLD AND NOT HIDING BEHIND HIS MASK (HIS MASK!! DISAPPEARS!!) IS WHEN ARSENE IS FREED..FROM HIS CHAINS..LITERALLY..to become satanael.... when his heart was finally unclouded arsene was also...released.... 

HONESTLY i think joker was just like. awed by the power he held, and would miss it… the feeling of satanael behind him, and he can’t even handle the idea of mementos and phantom thievery going away, because he misses arsene like a limb?? BECAUSE HE WAS?????????? [flatline noises]
