the Weeknd was opening for Rihanna and he had the number 1 album and multiple top 10 songs last year. the Weekend also had a massive internet following before he dropped this commercial album. So if he's not above opening, then why Zayn. Zayn is an artist, but to label him a " big artist", and artist too big for an opening act, is silly to me. He's just getting started and he's only had 1 song on the radio. If you go up to a random person and ask them about Zayn, they don't know him.

The Weeknd was supposed to open for Rihanna until he dropped out of the line-up because his team realised, rightfully, that he doesn’t need it given how big he is - and he’s bigger than Zayn.

But again, do I need to jump in a tree or something: plenty of artists tour. Plenty. Many of whom don’t even have a 1/15th of Zayn’s fan base. They tour clubs, they tour small venues, they tour theaters. And they do just fine.

What is this attachment to him opening for someone else? Help me to understand because I’m not getting it. But do you and please get the fuck out of my inbox, Jesus.
