Please please please write more for the yandere Graysons whenever you have the time😫😫 I’d happily devour 500 more one shots with them. Especially Nolan and Debbie. #nolanandhispoorcowriter
But really I’d love to see more of the dynamic between the three. Anyways I hope you have a wonderful day and get lots of time to write 🙏🙏
We desperately need more invincible writers 😭😭😭
Thank you!! I’m so glad that you liked it! I was very inspired by your ask hehe. I def agree! I need to find more Invincible writers to get my fix lol
“Ah… This is perfect. My wife on one side, my bestie on the other, and my sons playing together. This is just the ideal family day.” Nolan sighed as he soaked in the sunshine
He had one arm wrapped around you and the other around Debbie as you all sat on a blanket and watched Oliver and Mark play supersonic catch. He had decided to take you all out for a picnic after Oliver told him how fun he found your picnic together.
“I’m… Your bestie…?” You questioned incredulously, not expecting a grown Viltrumite man to be using the term.
“Of course you are! Who else would forgive me like you did? Who else would pick up the slack for me while I was gone? You’re my best friend in the entire universe.” Nolan hummed as he rested his cheek on the top of your head.
Your eye twitched. You hadn’t forgiven him. You didn’t even like him. The only reason that you let the Graysons treat you like the (very well loved) family dog was because you didn’t want to end up like any of Nolan’s victims in Chicago. You’d also seen how Mark and Oliver had started behaving more aggressively and you didn’t want to risk anything like that from them either. Even Debbie wasn’t safe with how much sway she held over the family and how much she enjoyed keeping you around.
“You’ve been such a good friend to us for so long. You’re a part of the family! Don't pretend that you're anything less. The kids basically see you as a third parent or maybe an older sibling.” Debbie said as she passed you another weirdly large alien berry and patted you on the cheek.
You took the grapefruit sized berry and began eating it as Debbie and Nolan began chatting with each other again. You were exhausted from constantly being held, petted, poked, and prodded by almost everyone that you came in contact with. At least the food was good. You’d definitely be writing about this in your travel guide. You were about halfway done with the berry when a huge gust of wind covered it in dust. You took a few calming breaths before looking up to see a familiar orange alien levitating a few dozen feet in the air. You sighed before putting the berry in the trash bag and digging through the picnic basket for something else. You were interrupted by Nolan scooping you up and lifting you into the air, kissing Debbie goodbye as he floated.
“Look buddy! It’s Allen! You love Allen! I’ll take you to say hi.” He cooed at you while pointing at the alien in the air.
You were getting sick of this. You crossed your arms as he flew you up to the Unopan and cradled you as he floated alongside him. You forced yourself to give Allen a smile and friendly wave. He smiled back and waved at you in return.
“So, I’ve been meaning to ask but how did you get another human?” Allen asked Nolan.
“They’re a rescue. Humans are wonderful for families, you know! They’re very tolerant and forgiving and phenomenal with kids! They are just great companions. You should consider one if you and General Telia end up having a family. The boys just love them and they’re such a good support even for me and Debbie. I mean, they’re been a shoulder to cry on for years and they’re so sweet once they’re bonded to you. They’re awfully clever too. Would you believe that I found them wandering the halls of the transport ship storage building after they figured out how to get out of our housing unit? Such a mischievous little thing! Speaking of, we’ll need new locking mechanisms for our doors. We’ve been keeping them in our room since Debbie loves staying up and talking with them. Don’t get me wrong, I love it too but I think we could use some privacy without sacrificing our need to keep them safe. You know how it is.” Nolan said warmly.
You side eyed Nolan. How on Earth were you a rescue? You were a successful writer for goodness sake! You took care of yourself! If anything, you rescued Debbie and the kids after Nolan lost his mind.
“I see. They look a little grumpy. Is something up with them?” Allen asked.
“They love their food and their snack got dirty. They’ll perk up when they have something else to eat. They’re funny like that.” Nolan replied, smiling down at you like you were a grumpy puppy.
“Let me get this straight. Your wife is a human but she’s your equal, right?” Allen said slowly.
“Yes.” Nolan said lightly, adoringly petting the top of your head.
“And your best friend, who is also a human, is kind of like a pet that can talk and babysit your kids. You lock them in your family’s quarters when no one’s there to watch them and your wife, a fellow human, is cool with this?” Allen asked, squinting his eye at the Viltrumite.
“Mhm. Different humans are good for different things. Some make superb partners and others are an alien’s best friend. Last night, Oliver had a bad dream so we had them sleep in his bed with him to snuggle away the nightmares. Like I said, great with kids. Mark likes it too but he usually cuddles them during the day while he’s reading or watching a show. I wouldn’t be surprised if humans had some kind of calming pheromones or something. I always feel at ease around mine.” Nolan said as he gently nuzzled your cheek.
“Yeah, fair enough. I don’t know much about Earth’s social systems and structures so I’ll take your word for it. I could watch them for you sometime to see if they get along well with Vorg. I need to make sure that he isn’t allergic or anything.” Allen said with a shrug before beginning to pet the top of your head,
“That would be great! I’m sure that they’d love to meet him!” Nolan said with a smile.
