A month has passed since I arrived, and the days have started to blend together.
Anela introduced me to one of her friends, Taryn. She's a blonde party girl who apparently dreams of finding her true love, or at least that's what she told me within the first five minutes of meeting her. She talks a lot, but she's so cheerful that it's impossible not to like her.
Life at home is still a struggle. I haven't managed to get the electricity working yet. I've been getting by with money from gardening, fishing, and selling whatever I can find washed up on the beach, but it's barely enough to keep me afloat.
The other night, Anela invited Taryn and me out to the local bar for a girls' night. While we were chatting, two ridiculously handsome guys walked over. They turned out to be friends of Anela's, Kai, who seemed sweet and easygoing, and his best friend, Andres, he had that bad boy look on him (you know what I mean right) Of course, I introduced myself...
