“We should get married.”

Draco stares at his coffee, wondering if Potter has switched it out for a mild hallucinogen, and then turns his head to look at Potter.

Potter’s about to walk out of the door of their sunny kitchen and down the back steps where he’ll cut through Mrs McGillicuddy’s garden (which drives her mental, Draco knows, but he’s the Saviour of the Wizarding World, so what can you do) to get to the apparition point. It’s not the closest one to their flat, but it’s got that coffee cart that Potter loves. He’s got his robes slung over one shoulder and that tatty old messenger bag over the other. Draco’s been after him to replace it for years. It’s an ordinary day.

It’s a Tuesday, for heaven’s sake.
