She,  In the dark,  Found light  Brighter than many ever see.

She,  Within herself,  Found loveliness,  Through the soul’s own mastery.

And now the world receives  From her dower:  The message of the strength  Of inner power.

He didn’t feel like home, Ever. Home is mundane, boring; I told myself. He’s adventure. But do I like adventure? Maybe I do. That’s why I always fall for boys like him. Boys who scare me, yet excite me. Do I like the presence of Adventure or do I just like the chase? Why do I always crave something that I can’t have?

He’s just a boy. But is he? Is he just another boy? Or is he the boy? Does there have to be a boy? Or is it just a convenient concept, created to romanticize the biological need to mate? If so, why does thinking about him make me giggle at times? And why does it make me feel empty and sick at times? Maybe that’s adventure. Its the high. Its a roller coaster. Its the anxiety before an exam. Its the insecurity before a date. Its the fear you feel when you rock your chair too far. Its the worry that you’d seem desperate if you text first. Its love you give to someone who’s never going to return it back. But is it good? Is it good to give so much of yourself to someone? They say that the amount of risk taken is directly proportional to the amount of profit or loss beared. But how do I know if I’ll bear a loss or reap a Profit? Should I be investing in something which is still in it’s early stages? Logic says no. But the “adventure” in me says, do it! Love. Love without being loved in return. You’re only giving. It’ll come back to you in some form. Be selfless, be kind! Don’t expect!

But then why does it hurt? Why does it feel empty? Why do I cringe when I see him loving other people? Maybe because I don’t love him selflessly.

Or maybe because I’m just not an adventurous person.
