I know crosses being worn is sometimes more fashion reasons than indicators of religion, for example Baji and then him celebrating a buddhist holiday, but Mochi likely didn’t grow up with the Buddhist faith because we get no crumbs of him being thrown into a kimono celebrating new years and everything.
