why isnt professional tag more popular?
at least for me, it seems a lot more immediately engaging to watch than quite a few other sports. With the funding other sports get, I think it could be a real spectacle. I want to see grown adults chasing each other around in massive crazy overengineered whimsical obstacle courses; is that too much to ask?

Why must illustrator trouble me so?
I have a lovely little old dell laptop that used to run windows, but because windows is crap and dell's software is sometimes completely inane and nonsensical for no good reason, i switched to debian.
I use adobe illustrator pretty frequently to design stuff. While I have another computer at home that uses windows, I found the sudden lack of illustrator jarring. I needed to either get it back, or get a replacement.
So I tried using AffinityOnLinux, which didn't work; and then I tried out Inkscape, which I don't really think is a replacement for the kind of stuff I do on illustrator -- so then I tried virtualization, but the immediate sluggishness experienced upon that ugly windows desktop seeing its first light made it clear it'd be immediately unworkable.
While I'm expecting another used laptop sometime around now, it's a surface. An ARM surface. That I also cannot use to run illustrator (because I refuse to pay adobe).
Am I doomed to stay anchored to winhell forever?

"noch" and "dyune"
Most likely if society were to take form on a tidally locked planet, the system of cardinal directions would probably be entirely based on facing towards or away from the planet's star. I'd like to call the direction for facing away from the star "noch", and the direction for facing towards the star "dyune". Do these terms make sense linguistically? They probably could. I don't really care; I just like the way they sound.
