Haru had awoken feeling fairly unwell, coughing every now and again with a sniffling nose that spoke of ill fortune ahead. This didn’t stop him from getting up and taking his usual bath though, opting to fill it with warm water that created more than enough steam to fill the room.
He sank down into his tub and closed his eyes, leaving only his nose above the water to breath while soaking in the warmth and pretending he wasn’t sick. Maybe if he ignored it long enough it won’t even be noticeable unless he messed up and coughed in front of someone—
The weather was noticeably getting colder, and it worried the swimming captain greatly. It was not yet a problem for club activities since they swam when the sun was at its peak, but by the time they ended, it was considerably chiller. It didn't help that they continued to stay longer for more practice. Taking care of their body was important was what Gou said and they even had a long lecture on it.
A soft sigh as Makoto falls into a dilemma of whether to cancel practice today. Haru will no doubt give him that disappointed look, but at the same time, Makoto couldn't risk any of the members catching a cold. If not that, they'll have to cut practice short today, or maybe ask if they can use the ISCR, but that'll be a bother to Sasabe-sensei.
"Being a captain is hard," he whined as he reached Haru's house. He raised a hand to knock on the front door, only to stop himself. There was no doubt the dolphin was soaking in the tub again.
Wasting no time, he hurries to the back and enters, saying his usual greeting.
"Haru? Haaaru? We're gonna be late," he calls out, sliding the bathroom door open. Everything was just like always, with the only exception of the steam that had filled the room.
